A child who understands money will become more adept at controlling their life and benefit from it throughout their lifetime.
Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel said, “Financial education is a mandatory course in life and is the core of child education, just as money is the core of a family.“
American-Japanese entrepreneur Robert Kiyosaki, author of “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” stated, “If you don’t teach your children about money, someone else will replace you, like creditors, police, and even scammers. If these people educate your children about finances, I’m afraid you and your children will pay a higher price.”
It’s never too early to educate children about money. In the process of growing up, a lack of proper awareness about money leads children to misunderstand the true significance of currency, not knowing how to use money, and being prone to mistakes.
Children who have a proper understanding of money from an early age will know how to balance desires and capabilities, living within their means. Such children are more likely to succeed in the future compared to those who lack financial literacy.
Learning how to use money is the most valuable legacy parents can leave for their children. A person’s attitude towards money reflects their ability to control and plan for an independent future. Therefore, rather than teaching children to work hard to save money, Hanoi Telecom believes it’s better to teach them how to spend money wisely.
The course “Why Teach Kids About Money Early” in HTC’s 2nd Friday Learning Day for March will undoubtedly equip parents with appropriate knowledge and experiences for raising their children. So, don’t hesitate any longer. Students, quickly register to join this excellent course to have the opportunity to establish new sustainable relationships.

“Cánh Buồm Xanh” Club Donates Funds for Tua Sin Chai School Renovation
17.08.2023
Following the support trip earlier in April 2023, on May 27, the “Cánh Buồm Xanh Club” (Hanoi Telecom) handed over a sum of 70,000,000 VND to Hang Lìa Hồng Thứ School in Tủa Sín Chải – Sìn Hồ – Lai Châu for renovation and gift distribution to the students. This amount was raised within 8 days (May 8 – May 15) through the heartfelt contributions of Hanoi Telecom’s employees and kind-hearted individuals both within and outside the company.
Located in the remote and mountainous area of Lai Châu Province, Hang Lìa Hồng Thứ School has been facing significant shortages in facilities and daily necessities. Given this situation, the Cánh Buồm Xanh Club of Hanoi Telecom devised a plan to upgrade the infrastructure, including constructing new restrooms, laying concrete playgrounds, and installing school signs, aiming to give the school a fresh new look. After the renovation, the students now have access to clean restrooms and a clean playground, contributing to a more comfortable learning environment.
During this visit, the Cánh Buồm Xanh Club also prepared gifts including cakes, candies, and milk for the students as a celebration of International Children’s Day on June 1st. Additionally, the team visited and offered support to some orphaned students who were facing difficult circumstances, encouraging them on their educational journey.
Despite the challenges and hardships faced to reach the school and connect with the students, the members of the Hanoi Telecom volunteer team remained joyful and content, knowing they were extending the helping hands of kind-hearted individuals to the right place at the right time. It is hoped that in the future, these programs of compassion and goodwill will continue to be implemented and expanded. Sincere thanks are extended to everyone who came together to create this wonderful act of kindness.

“Sharing Happiness” at Tua Sin Chai School, Lai Chau
17.08.2023
As part of the annual “Nối dài con đường đến trường” (“Extending the Path to School”) program for young students in the highland regions, on April 4th and 5th, 2023, the volunteer group from Hanoi Telecom’s “Cánh Buồm Xanh” Club embarked on a journey to visit the students of Hang Lìa Hồng Thứ School, situated in the Tủa Sín Chải – Sìn Hồ commune of Lai Chau.
During this trip, the Cánh Buồm Xanh volunteer group, after a short period of fundraising and preparation, brought along 70 gift packages for the students. They also carried a substantial amount of used clothes, books, and snacks donated by kind-hearted individuals to the school and the local community. With great excitement and a desire to meet and share with the young students, the 500-kilometer journey from Hanoi to Nậm Mạ posed no challenge to the unwavering physical and mental spirit of these “enthusiastic hearts brimming with love.”
Hang Lìa Hồng Thứ School is one of five schools in the Tủa Sín Chải commune and is known to be the most challenging one, situated on steep hillsides. The villagers of this area primarily belong to the Mông Hoa ethnic group, relying mainly on cassava cultivation due to the area’s limited fertility. The climate also prevents them from raising livestock, making life in this area exceptionally challenging.
After a 40-minute boat ride along the Đà River, the group arrived at the Háng Lìa Hồng Thứ pier and continued their journey on a narrow dirt road. This road, flanked by rocky cliffs on one side and steep ravines on the other, posed treacherous twists and turns. Despite its challenging conditions, this route’s beauty seemed to have no impact on the “enthusiastic hearts brimming with love.”
This school is home to 70 students, divided into two classes, primarily comprising of first and second graders. The region’s living standards remain low, and economic conditions are extremely challenging. As education isn’t highly valued among the local ethnic communities, teachers must stay close to the area and visit each household daily to encourage students to attend school regularly. The school’s facilities are notably lacking and modest.
The volunteer group quickly organized their tasks, carefully packaging each gift. They engaged the students in interactive games, exchanging laughter and handing over the gifts personally. The young students, not fully understanding the language, seemed a bit unsure and relied on their teachers to help convey the words of encouragement and support. Each member of the group felt indescribable emotions when confronted with the challenging reality. The difficulties were hard to comprehend until experienced firsthand.
The support trip to Hang Lìa Hồng Thứ School was a safe and successful endeavor, leaving behind cherished memories and valuable experiences for future journeys. After this trip, the group plans to support the school’s infrastructure in the near future. The Cánh Buồm Xanh Club extends sincere gratitude to Hanoi Telecom’s leadership, the compassionate contributions of employees from various units, who provided financial, moral, and material support, ensuring the program’s success and positive impact as anticipated. It is hoped that future initiatives to improve facilities will bring even greater success, carrying the spirit of compassion and enthusiasm of the youth to help the most remote and disadvantaged places in the homeland.
